Volunteer
A little bit of time can mean so much to so many.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Episcopal Relief & Development.
Volunteering in Haiti
Episcopal Relief & Development is working closely with partners in the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti and the neighboring Episcopal Diocese of the Dominican Republic to meet immediate needs and begin formulating a plan for a long-term response. While it is still too early for people to travel to Haiti, we anticipate that volunteer opportunities may become available as the recovery and rebuilding process unfolds.
If you are interested in being contacted about potential volunteer opportunities, please send an email with your name, email address, mailing address, phone number and applicable skills (i.e. carpentry, language skills - Creole, etc.) to volunteer@er-d.org. We will reach out to you if and when these opportunities become available.
Other Opportunties
While we currently do not provide opportunities for direct service, we encourage you to volunteer with our program partners.
In the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Ike, there is still a lot of work to be done rebuilding the communities of the Gulf Coast. There are currently multiple opportunities to help meet the needs of affected communities:
REBUILD, a project of The Diocese of Louisiana, is currently accepting applications for internships. To learn more, click here. For other volunteer opportunities in Louisiana visit the website. You can also contact Mission and Volunteer Coordinator Pete Nunnally at 504.895.4304 or email him at pnunnally@edola.org.
