The Rt. Rev. Dena A. Harrison, a native of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, has served as Bishop Suffragan of the Diocese since 2006. She holds a BBA degree from The University of Texas at Austin and MDiv and DDiv degrees from the Seminary of the Southwest.
Bishop Harrison's ordained ministry includes service in three churches of the Diocese of Texas, as Canon to the Ordinary and as Archdeacon. As Bishop Suffragan she has oversight of churches in the West Region of the Diocese of Texas and is Executive for Ministry in the Diocese.
She has served as a deputy to General Convention and as chaplain to the House of Deputies. She currently serves as Chair of St. Luke’s Episcopal Health Charities and as a trustee of St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital System and the Seminary of the Southwest.
