Ensure that your church engages in the fight against extreme poverty and disease by organizing an Episcopal Relief and Development Sunday.
Step 1: Speak with your rector or church leadership about celebrating Episcopal Relief and Development Sunday on February 10, 2008. If you cannot do it on that date, choose another Sunday in Lent or during the year when you can focus attention on the challenges of poverty and disease throughout the world.
Step 2: Select a team leader(s) for your effort. Gather a team that can help brainstorm, advertise, and organize the event.
Step 3: Contact your ERD Diocesan Coordinator and let them know your church is planning an ERD Sunday. If you need contact information for your ERD Diocesan Coordinator, contact Luke Fodor, Network Coordinator, by calling 1-800-334-7626, ext. 6348.
Step 4: Announce and publish the date as soon as possible in the church bulletin/Sunday service leaflet and on the website. Explain briefly the purpose of ERD Sunday.
