Volunteer
A little bit of time can mean so much to so many.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Episcopal Relief & Development. We are currently building a database of people interested in assisting with disaster response efforts in the United States. If you are interested in volunteering, whether in your own community or another part of the country, please complete the volunteer sign-up.
Opportunities with Episcopal Relief & Development's US Partners
Along with signing up on the "Ready to Serve" volunteer database, we encourage you to volunteer with our program partners around the country.
A coordinated effort to help Bastrop County, TX families recover from the September 2011 wildfires has begun. Read more from the Episcopal Diocese of Texas here.
As response to the tornadoes that devastated many areas in Alabama shifts to the long-term recovery phase, the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama is hosting teams of volunteers from around the country. For more information please email David Whetstone at: Whetstone@cableone.net or visit http://www.dioala.org/misc/tornadoes.html
Following catastrophic flooding that impacted Minot, North Dakota, the Episcopal Diocese of North Dakota and All Saints Episcopal Church are looking for volunteers as they reach out to their neighbors to help with home repair and reconstruction. Download this flyer, read more on the program's blog, or contact the Rev. Mary Johnson at Allsaint@minot.com.
Volunteering in Haiti
Episcopal Relief & Development is working with the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti and its relief and development arm, CEDDISEC (Centre Diocésain de Développement Intégré et de Secours) to support community-led recovery initiatives. Due to ongoing security and logistical challenges, volunteer opportunities on the ground in Haiti have been limited.
There may be opportunities for people with particular technical or professional expertise to work in partnership with the staff of the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti and CEDDISEC. To inquire, please contact the Rev. Kesner Ajax, Director of the Diocese of Haiti’s Partnership Program, at kesnerajax@yahoo.com
