Take Action
Stand up and be counted.
Episcopal Relief & Development invites you to get involved and become an advocate of the Church on behalf of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
Although we do not have our own advocacy office, our work and the issues we care about are well represented in Washington, D.C., by the Episcopal Church’s Office of Government Relations.
The Office of Government Relations — located on Capitol Hill — brings the positions of the Episcopal Church to the nation's executive and legislative branches. It represents the policies of the church established by the General Convention and Executive Council, including issues of international peace and justice, human rights, immigration, welfare, poverty, hunger, health care, violence, civil rights, the environment, racism and issues involving women and children.
The Episcopal Public Policy Network (EPPN) is a nationwide grassroots network of justice-seeking Episcopalians who call and write members of Congress and the Administration to advocate the positions of the Church. Members receive policy alerts with updates on events in Washington, the Church's position on public policies, and techniques and information on contacting government leaders. EPPN members also receive a congressional directory and action guide, legislative updates and newsletters, training in advocacy methods, online resources and sample letters.
ONE Episcopalian™ is a grassroots partnership between The Episcopal Church and the ONE Campaign to rally Episcopalians — ONE by ONE — to end extreme poverty in our world and achieve the MDGs.
Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation is an Episcopal grassroots movement of connection and collaboration to seek and serve Christ in the extreme poor around the world.
