Dr. Pearl Chin (New York)
Dr. Pearl Chin is Principal Consultant of Seraphima Consulting, a management consulting firm for both companies and not-for-profit organizations. She also serves as an adjunct professor of Public Affairs at Baruch City University of New York and has taught entrepreneurship at The Cooper Union as an adjunct professor. Dr. Chin was Executive Director of Chinatown Manpower Project, Director of the Chinatown-Lower East Side Business Outreach Center, Director of Finance and Administration for New York Asian Women’s Center, and President of the Foresight Nanotech Institute. She has also worked as a management consultant with Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath (PRTM), now a part of PriceWaterhouse Coopers (PWC).
Formerly of St. Bartholomew’s, Dr. Chin is currently a member of Trinity Church Wall Street and St. Paul’s Chapel, having served on the Education and Arts committees of the Congregational Council. She served as an appointed board member of Community Board 3 in Manhattan and is a founding member of the Lower East Side Employment Network. She is also a United Way Executive Fellow. Dr. Chin is Board Treasurer for Episcopal Relief & Development.
Dr. Chin holds an MBA from Cornell University as Commencement Marshall, a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Delaware and her Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering is from The Cooper Union. She is a native New Yorker.
