2012 Lenten Resources

We invite you to commemorate Episcopal Relief & Development Sunday on the first Sunday in Lent, February 26, 2012, or another convenient date during the Lenten season.

To help your congregation prepare for this special Sunday and for the Lenten journey, we encourage you to order the 2012 Lenten Meditations guide. Available in English and Spanish, this year’s devotional provides a particular emphasis on promoting health and fighting disease while preparing ourselves for healing. The daily readings are co-authored by a group of leaders from across the Episcopal Church, who bring a range of perspectives as they reflect on Scripture and other sources of spiritual wisdom.

The devotionals are available for order in English and Spanish from Episcopal Media Center (EMC). Additional Lenten resources are also available. All materials are free; a minimal fee will be charged for shipping and handling. Large orders or overnight and second-day delivery will incur additional shipping costs.

To place orders, call EMC toll free at 1.866.937.2772, visit the online Episcopal Marketplace or click on the resources below (coming soon). Materials must be ordered by Friday, February 10, to ensure they will arrive in time for Ash Wednesday, February 22. Please note that the devotionals and other materials come in packs of varying sizes, and place orders accordingly.

As an invitation to take action during Lent, please consider supporting the NetsforLife® Inspiration Fund. This churchwide campaign is a grassroots effort to educate, engage and unite Episcopalians to support the fight against malaria and to raise $5 million for our NetsforLife® programs by December 2012.
