How to Hold an MDG Inspiration Fund Campaign
Useful information and tools to help you plan your event.
To help your church fight against extreme poverty and disease, organize an MDG Inspiration Fund Campaign. Here’s how:
Step 1: Speak with your rector or church leadership about planning a special MDG Inspiration Fund Campaign.
Step 2: Select a team leader(s) for your effort. Gather a team that can help brainstorm, advertise and organize the event. Coordinate the event by using our online information and tools such as:
-
A checklist that includes instructions and several creative ideas.
-
A list with descriptions of the Materials to Help You Plan a Successful Celebration. Be sure to order your materials four (4) full weeks in advance.
-
The Ideas for Your MDG Inspiration Fund Campaign page includes recommended activities and events.
-
The Resources for Your MDG Inspiration Fund Campaign page includes helpful links and downloads.
Step 3: Contact your Episcopal Relief & Development Diocesan Coordinator and let them know your church is planning an MDG Inspiration Fund Campaign. If you need contact information for your Episcopal Relief & Development Diocesan Coordinator, contact Luke Fodor, Network Coordinator, at 212.716.6348.
Step 4: Announce and publish the date as soon as possible in the church bulletin or Sunday service leaflet, and on the website. Explain briefly the purpose of the MDG Inspiration Fund. Use our Bulletin Announcement and Bulletin Insert to help you draft this message.
