Make a Donation to Support Haiti's Recovery
Episcopal Relief & Development is committed to remaining in Haiti for the long term as communities begin to recover from the devastating earthquake. The organization will continue to work closely with the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti to assist survivors in over 70 communities throughout the country.
In addition to providing provisional shelter for those left homeless by the quake, Episcopal Relief & Development is also creating cash-for-work opportunities for survivors to help them support their families. The cash-for-work program will include at least 40 church-led development projects to remove rubble; rehabilitate local markets, clinics, schools and churches; support hurricane preparedness by rehabilitating roads and ditches; build latrines; and assist vulnerable community members (e.g., the elderly, the ill and pregnant women).
In addition to the current programs, Episcopal Relief & Development will continue working with the diocese and other partners to assess priorities and meet the needs of communities as the recovery process unfolds.
