Blog Rated in Top 50 by Global Health Masters Site
Episcopal Relief & Development’s blog was named one of the top 50 global health organization blogs by Global Health Masters, a website that includes information on master’s degree programs in health, along with a range of other global health topics.
Daryn Kobata, Church Engagement and Social Media Officer for Episcopal Relief & Development, attributes the blog’s success to its new platform, which allows for multiple authors and more frequent posts. “The new blog,” she says, “adds a variety of staff perspectives about our work. We also blog more often—allowing us to get more information out to a wider audience.” She says that posting more frequently allows the organization’s health-related work to get more attention, making it more likely to attract the recognition of groups like Global Health Masters.
Kobata thanked Episcopal Relief & Development staff for “their time, effort and thoughtful reflections” and invited readers to share stories of their own via the blog’s guest page.
“[This award] affirms the value of our efforts to reach out to audiences through social media,” said Kobata. “I hope [our readers] will continue to find the blog a valuable source for getting and sharing information.”
